The moment we are waiting for is finally here. Apple has released iOS 11 Public beta 1. Means you can finally install it on your iPhone or iPad. It’s easy to upgrade to iOS 11 from existing iOS 10.3.2 & is also simple to downgrade to iOS 10.3.2 fro iOS 11 beta 1 if iOS 11 proves buggy for you.
Few days ago Apple released iOS 11 Developer preview beta 2 to developers bringing so many new features & improvements under the hood. Developer version of iOS 11 is also very easy to install but you have to search for developer provide on google to start installing it plus it’s not safe. That’s why I recommended you to better go for public beta of iOS 11.
Please make sure to update to the latest iOS 10.3.2 build & back up your phone data before you start installing iOS 11 Beta so that if anything goes wrong during the installation process or if you feel that build is buggy & you want to downgrade to the previous version, it will be no headache for you to do that.
To enroll for beta program, go to Apple’s website to register for the beta program. If you are a Mac or Apple watch user, you can also sign up for the macOS High Sierra or watchOS.
After signup, you have to install a public beta profile on your iPhone as per Apple’s instructions. Thereafter go to settings-general-software update to update your current iOS version to iOS 11 Public beta 1.
Apple releases the new versions of beta to improve performance & add new features to the existing version. Once you have installed iOS 11 Public beta 1 you will get all future updates automatically as long as you public profile installed.
If at any point of time, you wish to downgrade to the last stable version of iOS 10, please follow the instructions in the video at this link.
