Microsoft has updated the preview version of its Edge Browser for iOS, which adds support for 3D touch for iOS Devices. Microsoft released its popular Edge Browser for Android & iOS with much fanfare earlier this year. Microsoft is now working hard to improve the performance of its app on Both of these mobile Platforms to deliver a reliable alternative to the existing Mobile browsers which can dominate on both platforms.
3D Touch Support for Microsoft Edge Browser For iOS Devices
A new Update includes the most anticipated feature for iPhone users as it brings 3D touch support on compatible iPhone models.
By force touching the app icon on iPhone Home Screen User can now launch a voice search, create a new tab, open an InPrivate tab & browse the web incognito, or can launch a QR Scanner.

Additionally, the new version of Microsoft edge browser also includes support for two different extensions which provides for LastPass & 1Password. Both these extensions offer to save and quickly fill in details such as usernames & Passwords when browsing the web.
Please note that these features are only available for the preview version of Microsoft Edge and it should be understood that the public release builds available for download on the Apple App Store does not includes these features.
Microsoft Edge Preview Build for iOS is available for a limited Private Testers
Microsoft is also offering a separate version of Microsoft Edge Browser as a part of TestFlight Program that has limited seats available for private testers, as the company wants to get feedback on all these new features before releasing them in public.
Expected Release date
As expected, this would not take a long time. However, the release of the new Public version of Microsoft Edge Brower for iOS is based on how they will work on Preview builds. After successfully testing and fixing all major and minor bugs identified during the preview builds it will be updated on Apple App Store for download.
This year (2017) is about to end, so further new feature update in Microsoft browser for iOS devices can be expected in the future builds in 2018. Microsoft is already working on new updates at very fast pace on Microsoft Edge Browser for both Android & iOS
